Responsibilities

If so, consider joining State Industrial Products Team as the Director of Human Resources.

As the Director of Human Resources, you will help build a thriving workforce through developing, implementing, and coordinating benefits, compensation plans, performance management, employee relations, government compliance, and community engagement. As the Director of Human Resources you will:

 

  • Work closely with the recruiting team to acquire and onboard new employees
  • Develop and manage programs involving tenure, compensation plans, benefits, and performance management
  • Administer corporate benefit programs both in selection of programs and their operation
  • Coordinates the development and implementation of policies and procedures involving employees
  • Direct handling of employee relations matters
  • Coordination of compliance programs: safety, drug control, ADA and EEO, employee assistance, etc.
  • Coordinate employee orientation to engage new employees into the culture and benefits of the Company.
  • Involvement in HRIS system implementation strategy and maintenance of employee records
  • Respond to both formal and informal requests for information (coordinate with Corporate Legal and Risk Management) as well as investigations and ADR matters
  • Coordinate and administer corporate and philanthropic activities (campaigns, fundraisers, celebrations, etc.)

Qualifications

State Industrial Products is 109-year-old, privately old specialty chemical company headquartered in Mayfield Heights, OH, with over 700 employees in North America. We are seeking an individual who wants to continue to grow with us and has:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ Years Human Resources experience in generalist areas of HR, including but not limited to: benefits, compensation, employee relations, HRIS systems, performance management and employment law; Experience in a Sales Environment, preferred
  • Outstanding Human Resources capabilities, leadership, knowledge, and experience
  • Ability to be highly efficient, confidential and business minded
  • Employee performance management experience
  • Excellent communication skills including public speaking
  • Working knowledge of labor relations matters
  • Knowledge of benefits programs and offerings
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels and become a trusted advisor with employees
  • Efficient in computer skills (SAP, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
