    The Marketing Specialist role is designed to support our outside sales team with his/her product expertise. This position requires extensive travel, working directly with our outside sales representatives located throughout North America. This entry-level position requires no prior experience; extensive training will be provided.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve an in-depth understanding of assigned products, programs and markets.
    • Demonstrate and teach effective sales approaches for assigned products or programs.
    • Train and support sales force in selling assigned products and programs. Training may be one-on-one or in a group setting. Customer calls in partnership with sales reps will be required to demonstrate and transfer skills.
    • Assist in the overall marketing of assigned product lines and programs.
    • Assist in identifying the products and support materials required to train sales representatives and gain mind share. Partner with others in the marketing department as needed to create the materials and programs.

    Qualifications

    • Able to manage time effectively in a relatively independent team environment.
    • Able to demonstrate effective selling techniques in a field environment.
    • Able to travel up to 90% of time throughout the United States and Canada.
    • Able to write and edit effective business and marketing documents.
    • Able to present in front of small and large groups.
    • Able to utilize Microsoft Office software and State specific software and apps.
    • Energized by working with new people in a fast paced sales environment.

    For this position, we required a Bachelor’s Degree. Coursework or a major in science, technology, marketing or sales is preferred. Internships or experience in sales or marketing is a plus. Must be able to travel extensively and must have a valid driver’s license.
