  • Overview

    The Media Content Specialist is responsible for writing sales, marketing and technical content that supports the sales and marketing requirements of the Company. They will play a key role in helping develop marketing and creative strategies for effective story-telling that drives engagement and build brand value across a variety of mediums.

    Responsibilities

    • Authors content for assigned projects.
    • Collaborates with product management to generate copy that meets the strategic requirements for new product or program roll-outs (product literature/labels, video copy, webcast scripts, etc.).
    • Collaborates with digital marketing staff to generate copy that meets email, web, blog, and similar media requirements.
    • Collaborates with sales and marketing staff to generate scripts for multimedia presentations.
    • Completes other projects as assigned from time to time.

     

    Skills

    • Proficient writer of brochure copy, web copy, multimedia scripts and training materials.
    • Expert in AP style.
    • Able to understand and articulate a wide variety of topics including sales process, sales, coaching, B2B literature, product applications, etc.
    • A high level of writing skill, including creativity plus grammar and style.
    • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop) a plus.
    • Able to develop and implement project plans.
    • Able to meet deadlines.
    • Tablet skills desirable.
    • Effective oral communication and presentation skills.
    • Able to contribute audio and video talent.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communication, Business, Journalism, English or similar
    • Portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency. Ideal candidates would have examples of product literature, news releases, social media campaigns, web/blog content, etc.
    • Two to five years of demonstrable, relevant experience
    • Ability to translate or edit Canadian French or Spanish a plus
